United States, as well as our local community. Although many individuals with COVID-19 may
not experience symptoms or may experience mild symptoms, some individuals can experience
more significant health effects.
As a healthcare provider, Northeast Neuropsychology is continuing to provide psychotherapy
services using tele-health platforms.
The practice is currently seeing select patients for neuropsychological evaluations based on
level of need for more essential diagnostic services.
Because COVID-19 will likely be present in our community for the foreseeable future, Northeast
Neuropsychology LLC has put in place multiple preventative measures to help in reducing the
risk associated with COVID-19 and protecting our patients and staff members during
appointments. Some of these measures include the following: the use of pre-visit symptom
screenings; limiting patient volumes and waiting room volumes; regular disinfecting of office
spaces and equipment; the use of specialized personal protective equipment (PPE); as well as
the use of telehealth for patient interviews to shorten time spent in face to face appointments.
A more comprehensive list of preventative measures used at Northeast Neuropsychology is
presented below
PATIENT SCREENINGS:
• Pre-screening of patients during their appointment reminder and at the time of their
appointments for COVID-19 risk factors and symptoms
• Temperature screening of patients and symptoms observation the day of appointment for
patients
STAFF SCREENINGS:
• Daily pre-screening of staff for COVID-19 risk factors and symptoms
• Daily Temperature screening of staff members
LIMITING WAITINGROOM VOLUMES:
• Staggered arrival times for patients to limit the number of people in waiting rooms
• Family members will be asked not to enter the waiting room areas unless the presence of a
parent or spouse is necessary for the evaluation or the completion of paperwork.
• Telehealth appointments to complete patient interviews, prior to evaluation appointments, to
limit patient time at the office
REGULAR DISINFECTING
• Regular disinfecting of waiting room areas following each patient departure
• Disinfecting of patient exam rooms and test equipment following each patient departure
BARRIER TECHNIQUES
  • Use of face coverings by staff members and patients
  • Use of protective plexiglass screens that physically separate patients from clinicians during the evaluation.
